Youth Alpha National Coordinator

Jono

Jono is the Youth Alpha National Coordinator for Australia. He is married to the lovely Laura, who is studying to be a social worker (and inspires him to be a better person), and loves spending time with her (when he is not helping Australian's run Youth Alpha)!

Jono loves football (soccer for most Australians) and supports Liverpool FC and Melbourne Heart FC. He also enjoys playing indoor soccer himself and coaching junior soccer.

He loves playing board games and in particular strategy board games. Ticket to ride, Acquire and Stone Age are amongst his favourites. Jono thinks Balderdash is a pretty great game as well.

Jono is a snob when it comes to coffee and is very picky about what coffee he drinks, he is fortunate enough to have tried some of the best coffees around.

Until he was 5 years old Jono lived in the country and his best friend was a goat (pretty sad). Thankfully now he gets to meet lots of new people around Australia who are changing the lives of young people through the Youth Alpha Course (and in many other great ways) and has made some pretty cool friends.

Jono is passionate about equipping the next generation of Christian youth to share their faith with their peers.

Jono's greatest highlight with Youth Alpha so far was being a part of World Youth Day in 2008 and running Youth Alpha sessions for hundreds of pilgrims who were in Sydney as part of that gathering.

You can contact Jono by sending him an email.
